Following the luxuriously converted G 55 AMG in 2011 and the "Star Trooper" based on the G 63 AMG last year, the two exceptional designers are now presenting the "Star Trooper Pickup." Striking body modifications and a leather-wrapped interior are already hallmarks of their previous joint conversions. In this current project, MANSORY and PLEIN have once again succeeded in refining the vehicle to the highest standards, both technically and in terms of design. Exterior: The entire aerodynamics are made of ultra-light, high-strength exposed carbon fiber – from the front spoiler to the widened fenders and the rear diffuser. In the so-called autoclave prepreg process, the carbon is compressed under high pressure so that no air pockets remain in the material – a process normally used only in aerospace engineering. Thanks to its own autoclaves, MANSORY can guarantee the highest quality without compromise. PHILIPP PLEIN logos at the front and rear clearly demonstrate the cooperation. Engine & Performance: Larger turbochargers, new downpipes, a high-performance exhaust system, and a reprogrammed engine management system transform the 4.0-liter V8 engine into a performance machine with 850 hp (instead of the standard 585 hp) and 1,000 Nm of torque. The sprint time from 0 to 100 km/h drops to 3.5 seconds, and the top speed is 250 km/h. Chassis & Wheels: The "Star Trooper Pickup" is equipped with 355/25R24 tires. The new YN.5 one-piece wheels in size 12.5x24 were unveiled to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show. The chassis has been raised by 6 cm to meet the requirements of a true pickup truck. Interior: The interior is in no way inferior to the striking exterior: MANSORY uses only flawless leather hides from select animals, refined with decorative hexagonal stitching – for maximum durability and a unique feel. The "Grey Camouflage" look of the exterior is continued in the interior. Aluminum pedals, airbag sports steering wheel, and exposed carbon fiber applications with artfully incorporated PHILIPP PLEIN logos complete the sophisticated overall appearance.
